NPK MultiCal Standard 2 (500ml)

The MultiCal Standard 2 solution (500ml) is a convenient calibrant for all three NPK Parameters (Nitrate, Phosphate and Potassium) and should be used in conjunction with MultiCal 1 Solution.

MultiCal 1 contains 100ppm N, 100ppm K and the equivalent of 10ppm P.  This can be used for a 1 Point Calibration or as part 1 of a 2 Point calibration in conjunction with the NPK Meter Kit.

MultiCal 2 contains 1000ppm N, 1000ppm K and the equivalent of 100ppm P. and cannot be used as a 1 point Calibration solution.

Following conditioning, the NPK Sonde is placed in 50ml of MultiCal 1 Solution and all three Parameters are set by the instrument. The user is then prompted to measure the sample if they are using a 1 point Calibration - or to insert the Sonde into 50ml of the MultiCal 2 for a 2 point Calibration.

These standards should be kept sealed in the 500ml bottle. Probes or sensors should not be placed into the bottle for direct measurement and used standard should never be placed back into the bottle.

All MultiCal solutions are designed for use in measuring Nutrient Feed and Drain Samples used in the Soft Fruit, Vertical Farm and Horticultural applications. Each standard is corrected for ionic strength to allow for the high ionic strength of Nutrient Drip and Drain Samples.

The frequency of calibration depends on the accuracy required but should be sufficient for 6 months of nutrient analysis.
