The E8072 Glass Conductivity Cell is for dip applications where the sample conductivity is low and the standard E8071 general purpose conductivity cell does not have the required sensitivity.
Typical applications could range from checking the quality of de-ionized or distilled water to sensitive analysis of ecological water sources.
The 12mm glass body has two internal active platinum electrodes in close proximity. These have to be submerged in the samples to a minimum depth of around 2cm.
The E8072 Conductivity cell is suitable for use with the complete range of EDT conductivity meters. The E8072 contains a temperature sensor to enable all readings to be temperature compensated (ATC). The recommendation for general purpose cells (K=1) is to calibrate using a 1413uS/cm standard such as the A3052 and A3053 solutions. Use EDT calibration solutions for quick and accurate analysis.
Temperature reading and compensation range is 0-50 degrees centigrade. For general analysis above 500uS/cm use a K=1 cell (E8071). For process measurements or where the use of glass is not acceptable EDT manufacture a complete range of Conductivity cells to suit most applications.
The E8072 Conductivity cell has a fixed 1 metre cable with a DIN connector to fit EDT meters. We also manufacture conductivity cells compatible with most models and make of instrument. Contact us so we can advise the part number and price.
