Cathodic Disbondment Ag/AgCl Reference Electrode
A Refillable glass bodied reference electrode half-cell with a 12mm body designed for use for Cathodic Disbondment testing with 4mm connectors to fit all test rigs and instruments including digital Multi-meters.
The reference electrode is a Ag/AgCl system with a ceramic reference junction. The electrode is refillable E8067 filling solution.
It is common for several tests to be carried out simultaneously. The yellow connector is connected to the yellow sockets on Top-Hex instruments, the black termininal on Multi Meters or the negative terminal on any other Disbondment test instruments.
Silver/Silver Chloride (Ag/AgCl) references have greater stability at higher temperatures and can withstand analysis of hot samples. Make sure that after use the outer chamber is kept topped up with filling solution. It is common when left dry to produce a white crystalline material around the fill hole and tip. This is KCl and can be washed off with water. it is not harmful and will not affect the performance. When not in use the protective cap should be replaced and the fill hole closed.
