The EDT directION Sodium ISE is a glass based 12mm bodied electrode. This is sensitive to Sodium down to ppb levels.
This ISE operates in exactly the same way as a traditional combination pH electrode. The difference being the bulb glass is ultra-sensitive to changes in Sodium concentration.
The pH of standards and samples need to be in the range pH 9-12. The pH should be 12 for low level sodium work. This is because the glass bulb is still sensitive to Hydrogen Ions which are minimised.
Each EDT directION Combination ISE has a 1 metre cable and a BNC connector, although other connectors available on request. The electrode is compatible with all types of pH/ION meter including laboratory bench and research models. The EDT QP459 pH/ION meter is the perfect instrument for these ISEs for direct concentration reading and absolute simplicity.
