The Flat Surface pH Electrode is a versatile refillable electrode ideal for measuring the pH of semi solids and small volumes.

This electrode does not require the use of a separate reference electrode. The pH sensing tip is completely flat unlike most bulb shaped glass probes making the measurement of surfaces such as cheese, agar, skin and paper as simple as measuring a buffer solution.

The probe is easy to clean with no hidden crevices. The TEFLON annular reference junction provides a good contact with the sample to provide excellent stability. The Glass bulb is of the same low resistance glass used by research electrodes ensuring a fast response.

The Flat Surface pH Electrode comes complete with a 1 metre fixed cable and a BNC connector. This means the electrode is compatible with all EDT pH meters and most modern alternatives. For this product we'd recommend the QP451 Portable pH Meter.

Calibration is normally performed using two pH buffer solutions and a temperature probe for Automatic temperature compensation (ATC). To view a simple pH calibration click here.
