There are many pH and ION meters in laboratories all over the world. Many years ago some manufacturers had their own style of connector which prevented competitors from substituting their electrodes with their own.

Now the vast majority of manufacturers have standardised on the BNC connector for their ranges of Combination pH and Ion Selective Electrodes.

EDT ELECTRODES AND HANNA METERS ?

Combination ISE’s and pH electrodes are compatible with all Hanna meters except for the multiparameter instruments.

Half cell pH electrodes with a separate reference electrode are also compatible. However in this instance the reference electrodes have different connectors and are not compatible.

It is also worth noting that combination pH electrodes with a built in temperature probe are not compatible as they have a different temperature probe and connector.

EDT directION ISEs have many more benefits than any other ISE as they are solid state and require no maintenance.
